Since 1991 the Big Blast Family has worked with non-profit groups in order to help raise funds for youth and church groups, ball teams, civic groups and many more.

“Investing in our community by helping raise funds for worthy causes, is our mission”, said Melissa Torkleson, owner of the Big Blast Sand Springs Superstore.

“As a small business owner, it is my desire to do everything in my means to help young people fulfill the calling on their lives, and by partnering with non-profit groups, in order for them to raise money for camps, or other character building activities, we are able to make that happen,” said Torkleson.

For the past four years, the Sand Springs Superstore has partnered with Harvest Church Youth Group in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The money raised from the Fourth of July season sales helps fund their youth department for the year.

“The partnership we have with the Big Blast Sand Springs Superstore has truly enriched the lives of our youth. Our young people are able to volunteer and gain real life skills by interacting with the public and working hard, in order to raise funds needed for camps and other activities throughout the year,” said Steve Allen, Youth Pastor at Harvest Church.

In addition to the partnership with Harvest Church, the Sand Springs Superstore is also involved with the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Tulsa Regional Chamber, Sand Springs Back Pack Program, The Sand Springs Champions Project, and sponsoring local tee ball teams.
